Open position: BIM Specialist – Mechanical Systems

Location: Treviso (TV)

For our construction site in Treviso, where works are underway for the installation systems of the new Amazon sorting center, Sinelec is seeking a professional who will be responsible for managing, updating, and coordinating BIM models related to mechanical systems during the construction phase, working closely with the Technical Department, designers, suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams.

The position requires a hands-on BIM approach focused not only on modeling activities but, above all, on multidisciplinary coordination and the resolution of construction issues arising during project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage, update, and develop MEP BIM models during the construction phase;
  • Model mechanical systems based on detailed/construction design documentation and site requirements;
  • Coordinate and verify BIM models received from designers, suppliers, and subcontractors;
  • Ensure consistency between BIM models, design documentation, and actual site conditions;
  • Provide technical support to site teams during installation activities;
  • Develop construction details, plans, sections, and views required for proper project execution;
  • Identify and manage clashes between systems, structures, and civil works;
  • Perform and manage Clash Detection activities and multidisciplinary coordination;
  • Participate in BIM and technical coordination meetings with designers, suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams;
  • Incorporate agreed modifications and construction-related requirements into BIM models;
  • Verify technical spaces, installation elevations, penetrations, shafts, and system routing;
  • Progressively update models according to actual site installation progress and support As-Built documentation preparation.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Technical diploma and/or university degree in a discipline relevant to the role;
  • Experience in BIM modeling of mechanical systems, preferably in industrial, logistics, or complex building projects;
  • Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, air distribution networks, hydronic systems, plumbing and drainage systems, fire protection systems, plant rooms, and technical facilities;
  • Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Revit, particularly MEP modeling;
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks for model federation, coordination, and Clash Detection;
  • Ability to read and interpret technical and construction documentation;
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary models and familiarity with BIM processes applied during the construction phase;
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy, operational autonomy, and a problem-solving mindset;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate daily with technical and operational site personnel;
  • Availability to work on-site in Treviso throughout the project duration;
  • Valid driving license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience on complex industrial or logistics construction projects;
  • Experience managing BIM processes during the construction phase;
  • Knowledge of CDE (Common Data Environment) platforms;
  • Experience managing models produced by multiple designers, suppliers, and subcontractors;
  • Good command of English, particularly technical and building services engineering terminology.

Employment Terms and Compensation:

  • Collective Bargaining Agreement: Italian Metalworking Industry National Collective Labor Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanici Industria)
  • Contract Type: Permanent Employment Contract
  • Compensation: The starting gross annual salary for this position will be no less than €34,000.00.

Any variable compensation components or benefits will be presented at a later stage and regulated according to applicable company policies.
