Open position: Technical Buyer

Location: Tortona (AL)

Main responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the other functional areas of the Company, for the formulation and analysis of purchase requests and for activities related to tenders;
  • Analyses and evaluates the offers, to verify whether or not the proposed technical solution is in line with what is required and verification of alternative solutions;
  • Pursue the economic and financial objectives of saving, in the operational management of the budget;
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers to verify the progress of the activity;
  • Operate for the implementation of the register of suppliers through scouting activities on the national and international market;
  • Participate in events, conferences and fairs (national and international) in the sector to update on the news of the reference markets;
  • Organize visits to suppliers, to verify them and their products;
  • Organize visits to construction sites, to check progress and solve problems on site, in assistance to the PM.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in technical engineering subjects;
  • Experience of at least 4 years gained in working environments with high technical content;
  • Knowledge of the “Procurement Code” regulations;
  • High familiarity with the use of the main IT packagesand knowledge of the SAP management system;
  • Technical knowledge of Telecommunications and/or ICT sectors;
  • Ability to:
  • to assess business needs for goods and services and to understand internal needs;
  • to apply management and negotiation techniques with suppliers, also for the definition of supply terms (price, delivery methods, delivery times, etc.);
  • Manage purchases through the use of platforms for purchases and / or online auctions;
  • Ability to identify supplier and product criticalities.

 

The following are also required:

  • Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken;
  • Strong relational and communication skills;
  • Availability for travel in Italy and abroad;
  • Orientation to group work (team working);
  • Excellent problem solving skills;
  • Act with autonomyor perative and spirit of initiative.
